About Freya Padmore
Squarespace Web Designer, London
I’m a web designer with a background in marketing and a love for playing around with tech (which means you don’t have to!) It’s my mission to support support small business owners in showing up confidently online, without the stress and tech-headaches.
Why Work With Me?
Marketer & SEO
I have a degree in digital marketing and currently work in the SEO industry which means I know how to connect with consumers online. I have not only worked with small businesses on their websites & SEO, I have also worked with international brands, so I know what goes into getting results and ROI.
Problem Solver
Some people find “figuring it out” tedious, but I get so much satisfaction from finding the perfect solution to a problem. I am that person that gets super excited when I find a new software and spend hours on YouTube learning the latest features (for fun?!).
Personal Touch
Business is personal. That’s why I value building genuine connections with the people I work with. I’m not a faceless agency or a Fiverr-freelancer. Together let’s celebrate the highs, troubleshoot the lows and find the perfect website solution for your business.
My Journey Into Web Design
My whole working career has been in marketing, starting with my degree in Digital Marketing from the University of Derby. This is where I really discovered my love for web design and SEO.
My journey into entrepreneurship really started during Covid, when I was invited to join a Facebook group full of local small businesses. For the first time, I witnessed the power of the small business community. People coming together, supporting each other, and sharing their passion for what they do over a glass of wine and a few tears too during an incredibly difficult time. That experience shaped everything I do today.
After graduating with First Class Honours, I moved to London and worked at an award-winning marketing agency with major brands like Amazon. The experience taught me so much about strategy, data, and results, but my heart has always been with small, people-first businesses.
What started as a side hustle quickly grew into Freya Padmore Web Design, and over the past four years, I’ve designed websites for service providers from so many industries - from Reiki practitioners to therapists and personal trainers. The common thread? They all care deeply about their clients - and I make sure their websites reflect that.
Running a small business comes with challenges
Since being self-employed, I’ve experienced the ups and downs that come with running your own business. The quiet months, the uncertainty, and the figuring-it-all-out stage. But through that, I discovered something new about myself: I love teaching. Sharing what I’ve learned with other business owners has become one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.
That’s why I started hosting masterclasses and built The DIY Website Club - a space that brings together everything I know about building a website that actually converts. It’s a collection of all my experience, made with love, and designed to make web design and strategy accessible to every small business owner, no matter what stage of business you’re at.
Because I know what it’s like to feel stuck. To want to grow but not be able to afford thousands for support. The DIY Website Club is my way of changing that: making great websites (and the knowledge behind them) something everyone can access.
So, if you’re ready to build a high-converting website rooted in marketing strategy - and want to work with someone who understands your passion and will do everything to help you succeed - that’s where I come in!
Let’s get to know each other! I’ll go first:
3 fun facts about me
I climbed Mount Kilimanjaro for charity. Needless to say it was the hardest mental and physical challenge I have ever completed. For the climb I fundraised £2,500, one of the ways being through web design!
I am obsessed with live music & have been to over 60 gigs! My obsession even lead me to work with the marketing team at Y Not festival, an indie music festival in the UK where I captured social media content and even got to go backstage. (Dream come true!)
I designed my very first website when I was just 14 years old. I ran a little blog where I wrote about studying, books and “fashion” - which consisted mostly of Harry Potter tshirts honestly. I posted every week and even made pins for Pinterest, so you could say I live and breath this stuff!
