Terms and Conditions for Website Design & Tech Day
By purchasing a design & tech day ("Service") from Freya Padmore Web Design ("we," "our," or "the web designer"), the client ("you," "your") agree to the following terms and conditions:
1. Service Overview
The web designer agrees to provide the following services:
A 30-minute strategy call.
3.5 hours (half day) or 7 hours (full day) of website updates and technical support.
2 weeks of post-project support via email.
The total cost for these services is as specified on the website when booking the services.
2. Exclusions and Validity of Hours
The total fee does not cover:
Website hosting costs.
Third-party software or services.
Ongoing maintenance after the project is complete.
The hours booked as part of your design day service are valid only on the agreed date. Any unused time will not roll over, and a new contract will be required for any further work.
If you wish to reschedule the agreed date, please notify us at least 3 days in advance. The new date must fall within 90 days of the original date, otherwise, a new contract will need to be signed, and the price may change.
3. Client Responsibilities
You agree to:
Provide all necessary assets, information, and software access needed for the project.
Review and provide timely feedback and approval.
Stick to the agreed-upon project timeline and payment schedule.
4. Web Designer Responsibilities
We agree to:
Complete the project professionally and in a timely manner, adhering to the scope of work defined in these terms.
Keep all information provided by you confidential.
5. Scope of Work
Website Maintenance:
The work will be limited to the specific website agreed when booking. All design work will be mobile-responsive and custom, based on your feedback. You must provide a list of required updates and content before design work begins.
Technical Support:
As part of your design day, we can provide support for email software, domain management, scheduling, and any other third-party services previously agreed upon. While we will strive to meet industry best practices, we cannot guarantee all outcomes due to limitations of third-party platforms.
You are responsible for ensuring third-party services are registered in your name and that access is provided prior to starting the work. Costs for third-party services are not included in this contract.
Copy and Imagery:
You must provide all amended copy and high-resolution images before design work starts. We are not responsible for grammar or spelling errors but will do our best to spot them. If you don’t have your own images, we can source free stock photography. You are responsible for any image licensing.
Search Engine Optimisation (SEO):
We will follow industry best practices for SEO, but we do not guarantee specific search engine rankings.
6. Revisions and Additional Work
You can review the work and request revisions, which will count toward the agreed hours of support.
Revisions outside the scope of the agreed hours will be billed at £75 per hour, with a minimum fee of £75.
You must submit revisions in a comprehensive list via email.
7. Website Credit and Portfolio
We reserve the right to showcase the completed project, including any work-in-progress, on our portfolio and in articles or media, with a link to your website as an example of our work.
8. Project Timeline
This contract is valid for 2 weeks from the agreed design date.
You have 2 hours to review and approve each stage of work. If no response is provided within this time, the work will be considered approved, and we will proceed. Any delays caused by you will extend the due date accordingly.
9. Payment Terms
The total fee for the services is agreed upon when booking the service as specified at the time of booking.
A 50% deposit is due at the time of booking.
The remaining 50% payment is due in full at the start of the project before any design work commences.
Late payments (30+ days overdue) will incur a £30 fee.
Payments more than 60 days overdue will incur a non-compounding late fee of 5% per month on the outstanding amount.

Use of a discount code is valid only once per person.
The discount cannot be exchanged for cash value or applied to any other services.
The discount is not transferable and cannot be combined with any other offers or promotions.
The discount must be used at the time of purchase and cannot be applied retroactively to any previous transactions.
10. Dispute Resolution
If there is a dispute, the party accused of breach will have 30 days to address the issue. Both parties agree to resolve any disputes through negotiation.
11. Liability
Work will be carried out in accordance with good industry practice and at the standard expected from a suitability qualified person. With that, the web designer cannot guarantee that the work will be error-free and so cannot be liable to the client or any third-party for any damages arising from the use of the site or service. This includes loss of profits, third-party theft and unauthorised access to or use of the client’s information or property. The web designer is also not liable for any damages or data breaches in connection with any failure of performance, error, attack, virus or system failure.
This project also does not include the provision of a suitable privacy policy or terms and conditions which are recommended documentation to be included on your site.
The client’s liability to the web designer will also be limited to the amount of fees payable under this contract and the client will not be liable to the web designer or any third-party for damages.
12. Intellectual Property
Upon completion, you will own the website and any visuals provided by us.
We guarantee we have the legal rights to all the elements we provide. You guarantee you have the legal rights to any materials you provide to us, such as text and images.
13. Termination
This contract will automatically terminate when both parties fulfill all obligations.
If you wish to terminate the contract before design work begins, you are eligible for a full refund. If design work has started, you will be charged for hours already worked at an hourly rate of £75/hour, with a minimum charge of £75. If work exceeds the value of the contract, you will only owe the contract total.
